Mark Driscoll on CNN
Posted: January 29, 2011 Filed under: Miscellaneous, News & Commentary 3 Comments »In light of Joel Osteen’s latest “controversy” in which he sheepishly admitted on CNN that homosexuality is a sin (although I do applaud this “new him” that he claims will talk about sin), here is a video of Mark Driscoll boldly standing for Christ in 2009:
I am not at all surprised how Mark acts but I am floored by the quality of ‘journalism’ that CNN puts out.
I’ve seen this video several times now, and it always blesses me. Mark Driscoll has a way of “keeping it real” without sounding like a jerk or nervous or self-conscious. I know he’s got his haters, but let’s be honest here – he just engaged DL Hughley in a candid conversation about sex and hypocrisy in the church, and he gained DL’s respect in spite of the fact that their philosophies seem to be completely different. I think that’s awesome.
